Oliver's Desserts

Goal: Launch an e-commerce site to take pressure off phone and Facebook orders without requiring much knowledge of technology and e-commerce.

Solution: Build e-commerce site using the “Big Commerce” platform to sell online.

Ashley Rapp, the owner of Oliver’s Desserts was a part time working mother of two with big dreams. Her goal was to convert her part-time cake business into her full time dream job. She was taking order on Facebook and had a pretty good clientele built up but the time spent managing quotes, pricing and flavor questions really bogged her down. She wanted a website that would handle ordering, answer questions, and help build her professional online presence. The only hesitation she had was she was not very “tech savvy”. After picking her brain on her expectations we settled on using the Big Commerce platform which has a very user friendly back end allowing her to easily accept and view orders, add new products and write blog posts. We orchestrated a professional photo shoot and set pricing for the various types and flavors of cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, cookies and other delicious treats. Not only was this a fun project but a very tasty one too! After the site was built, I helped Ashley get herself familiar with the Big Commerce platform and we launched soon after. To this day she will pass along extremely kind words from customers raving about her website.
